Experience
I'm University of Buffalo student pursuing a doctoral degree in math. Prior to this, I attended SUNY College at Brockport for my graduate degree in math and for my bachelor's degree as well. As a graduate student, I taught college math courses and also served as a math tutor on campus. I can assist students in courses like calculus, statistics, multivariable calculus, pre-calculus, algebra, trigonometry, discrete math, geometry, and others. Of these, my favorites are algebra, trigonometry, and calculus. I've also taught calculus at the college level and really enjoyed it. As a tutor, I need to understand how my student thinks about math to be able to teach to them effectively. I modify my approach based on the findings to ensure my students are learning and the best possible way. I also work on keeping students interested and engaged throughout sessions. Students need to be involved in learning math, so engagement is a high priority. I want of my students to understand math and reach their academic potential. In my free time, I like to hike, camp, ride my bike, exercise, and watch movies.
